The Captain's Desk is a reproduction of a desk found on an American whaling ship in the mid 1800^s. Made of solid red oak with a light stain and four coats of brushed polyurithane varnish.

Drawer boxes are of solid oak, 3/4 inch front and 1/2 inch sides.
Joinery is dovetail, for strength and appearance.
